Finishing Coat

My self-designed finishing coat is made to help smooth and polish your Cavalier’s coat after a bath. When left on for a few hours while drying, it helps create a sleek, smooth, and shiny finish.

I intentionally designed these coats without velcro or tail holes. IYKYK. Dogs are still able to go to the bathroom comfortably while wearing them.

PLEASE NOTE: Select a size and click the pattern you’re interested in to get a larger view. Also, most of the fabric I use for these coats has a shimmer or sparkle to it. It does not photograph well. Coats are made to order and depending on my availability to sew, may take up to 2 weeks for shipping.

Finishing coats are made in the same material that swimsuits are. Treat their care in the same way. Wash only when needed. Hand washing

Hand wash your finishing coat in cold water with a mild detergent
Fill a sink with cool water and add a teaspoon or less of detergent
Gently squeeze out water with a towel, but avoid wringing or twisting

Washing machine

If you machine wash your finishing coat, flip it inside out and put it in a mesh bag to prevent snagging

Drying

Air-dry
Avoid hanging out in direct sunlight

HOW TO USE
My favourite way to use a finishing coat is after a bath

1. Bath your dog
2. Dry your dog fully
3. Lightly mist down the coat with a conditioning spray
4. Brush the coat down flat and put on the finishing coat
5. Leave it on for a few hours before taking it off

You can also use it without bathing your dog. Skip the bathing and drying and move to step 3 above
