This weekend Molly and I were showing at Kilbride Kennel Club with a few other breeders in the area.
As my Mom would say, I had Princess Molly on one day of the show and then the toad who wouldn’t settle in the ring yesterday. Congratulations to all the winners and owners who were showing their dogs this weekend.
At the show we somehow got onto the topic of cell phones. One of the breeders was trying to decide if she wanted to get a normal cell phone and a small camera, or if she should just get a smart phone. I am firmly in the I LOVE MY IPHONE category.
Today as I was looking through my phone trying to find a picture I wanted to post, and I realized just how many pictures i’ve taken with my phone. Its not always convenient to have a camera with you. It made me realize just how many moments I would have missed if didn’t have my phone on me.
I decided to share a few of my forgotten on my phone photos as I had fun looking through them all.
This series of photos especially made me smile. On a cold and very stormy winters night, I helped a good friend deliver puppies. I found pictures from that night still on my phone… long forgotten about. It is especially fitting as I took a picture of Talia’s daughter who was born on that night with my Iphone, winning Best of Breed this weekend at Kilbride Kennel Club.
Do you have a smart phone you use to take pictures with? What kind of photos have you captured that you otherwise wouldn’t have?
I love your pictures!! I had a rather big camera that I used most of the time, then got a smaller camera. About that time my contract with the cellphone ran out and I got an IPhone! I love it too!!! Lots of love, Debbie & Holly
oh and of course your pictures were so cute, especially the newborn ones….
We use a Blackberry, love it as well but for occasions a SLR is still the best. But for quick cute shots a smartphone is amazing!
I agree. I do love my camera but sometimes it's just too bulky to take everywhere, especially when you have dogs on a lead on one hand and a camera in the other. I don't have an iPhone. I have a Samsung Jet but it has a 6mp camera that takes great photos and it's so convenient. Loved all you photos. Oh and I posted the link for the Cavalier Mouse Pads on my blog for you. Thanks for stopping by 🙂
I love that pic of Talia with her baby's! Look how happy she looks!:)) So sweet. I have to tell you that I have no desire to breed dogs and know nothing about it, except that it's way above my pay grade.LOL But when I read your experiences and the love and joy that you have in breeding you make me see the beauty of it. There are so many bad breeders that sometimes that's the only side I think about. It's refreshing to come and see the dedication you and your breeder friends put into such a demanding skill.:)) Thanks for the inside peak!
Well it's your fault I even have an Iphone! Even though I am a photography buff, I am a huge fan of the iphone photos too. I upload mine to Instagram (a hosting site for just iphone photos. I follow a whole crew of fanatic cavalier owners. We like to add filters to the photos and catch our dogs at *that* moment if I can for a camera it would be over.
Congratulation to all the winners!
Katie,
This is one of the kindest comments that has been left on this blog. It completely made my week. Thank you *so* much for posting it.
It is exactly what I am trying to accomplish through this blog. There ARE good breeders out there doing everything they can for this breed. They are amazing individuals and deserve every ounce of credit they receive and then some.
Fingers are always too big for a normal phone let alone any other kind 🙂 MORE PICS PLEASE 🙂
