Molly and I have a secret to share…
Molly gave birth yesterday to 4 black and tan boys, and 1 black and tan girl. She is being a wonderful Mommy, and so far the babies are doing well. My Mom and Sister were here as extra sets of hands and I definitely appreciated all of their help.
There will be LOTS of puppy pictures to share in the next few weeks.
OMG OMG! So excited!!! Can't wait for more! Lookit the widdle teeny ears! Glad to hear Molly is doing well, and the pups too. How early can we visit! LOL!
Congratulations. How gorgeous. We expect lots of growing puppy pics over the next few weeks.

Look at that happy momma! I'm so glad she's doing well! Congratulations to both of you!
Congratulations Molly and Mary Beth! Five babies! Wow! Glad to hear everyone is doing well. Take care.
Congratulations! It seems that she should be just a puppy herself still – mostly I conveniently forget that Rylie is three now lol!
Can't wait for more puppy pictures.
Beautiful babies and Mom. I'm curious, was the Dad a black & tan too? I'm uneducated as to how you get the different coat colors. I love all the colors, but I have to say…black & tan is one of my favorite.
The sire is a beautiful blenheim. In cavaliers black (tri and bt) are dominant over red (ruby and blenheim). Whole colour is dominant and parti is recessive. Unless we had a bit of a fluke this litter shows that Molly is dominant whole colour and double dominant black, making black and tans the only colour our Princess will produce.
Here is a link showing the basics if anyone wants more information on coat colour genetics. http://cavalierkingcharles.org.uk/colour_inheritance.html
Thanks for info on coat color. Now for another question on this topic. I have heard some people claim that coat color can have a bearing on temperment/personality type. What is your take on this?
Congratulations! Molly looks so proud of herself in the second picture, I love it!
