New additions

Nika and I are thrilled to introduce her new babies, born in the early hours of Wednesday.  It was a very uneventful textbook whelping and as always Nika is being a fantastic mother.

This was a black and tan to black and tan breeding and although we knew all four colours were possible, Nika and Sonny decided to have a bit of a parti!

Introducing in birth order;

Starburst, beautifully marked tricolour girl

Rodeo, wild black and tan girl.  I wouldn’t expect anything less than wild 😉

As you can see Nika is in fine form and has already begun her famous ball collection.  Orange one first, and a pink one tonight.  All that white in the box is a bit weird for me.

To more sleepless nights with adorable puppies and their mom.

I am planning to sneak out for a few hours on Sunday for the Cavalier picnic.  Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend and maybe see you on Sunday!

The bounce – 7.5 weeks old

Jen and I survived the CKCSCC Nationals and had a wonderful time.  There were some gorgeous dogs entered and some very deserving winners.  I connected with lots of friends and met some new ones too.  I do have some pictures and stories to share, but for now I wanted to share some current photos of our puppies and a little video I made.

Cooper’s owner enjoys watching the puppies from afar so I try and take some video for her.  This time I decided to do a bit of basic editing, this is the end result

The bounce!

We seem to have two speeds around here.. super fast and asleep, so it is hard to get half decent photos.

As you can see they will tell you that being locked up in a large grassy area with a tunnel is pure puppy abuse.  They want the entire yard to do as they please!

If I look adorable will you let me out?

We have two visitors who will be staying with us for awhile.  Nika and Kismet, so there will be lots of photos of them to share soon.

Puppy pictures – 5 weeks old

I’ve had several people asking about puppy updates and new pictures.  The puppies are turning 7 weeks (how the heck did that happen so fast?) old tomorrow.  They are officially little dogs with their own wonderful temperaments.  We’ve had an endless stream of visitors and they definitely enjoy being the centre of attention.  Everyone is greeted with wagging happy tails, lots of kisses, and maybe some sharp puppy teeth too.  I desperately need to get some new photos of them, they are SO cute right now.

Current photos though are going to have to wait.  Jen and I are off to the CKCSCC National in Cobourg tomorrow.  Bucky and Loki are entered in Sweepstakes tomorrow night, and will show on Saturday as well.  Right now I’m supposed to be finishing my sewing projects, packing my clothes, and  bathing my hairy boy, instead I decided to upload puppy pictures.

These pictures were taken on one of their first trips outside.  They are barely 5 weeks old.

Off to bath a stinky boy and find something to wear for the weekend.  Hope to see you in Cobourg!  If not, I will have some photos to share soon.
