Two and a half weeks ago I had the opportunity to help out with the delivery of four beautiful cavalier boys bred by Joan MacIntyre of Woodmere Cavaliers. Being that I am learning all that I can about breeding Cavaliers, and that I haven’t been a part of many natural births, I was SO excited when Joan had asked me to come help her. I arrived around 11pm eager to help out in any way I could. Joan had been worried about the delivery as Teegan was a first time Mom. Luckily I didn’t end up being much help at all as everything went perfectly! She was very efficient at having her beautiful babies, and I don’t think we could have had a birth that was anymore close to what a text book says it should be. They were all born, dry, warm and nursing by the time 3am rolled around.

Today I got to see the boys for the first time since they had been born. She is planning on naming them all after The Jersey Boys which is a Broadway show that is playing in Toronto right now. What a perfect theme for four handsome boys. They all have their eyes open and are trying hard to get up on their feet and become much more mobile than they are now. Joan is soon going to have four very active boys on her hands!
